The Rich Get Dead

by Joy Zeigler

Once a high-profile PI in Houston Texas, but now a virtual recluse on her central Texas farm, private investigator Christina Elliot longs to redeem a past mistake. But is redemption possible when her error led to a child’s murder? When the killer strikes again, Chris is more determined than ever to bring the perpetrator to justice. Working with the police, she enters a deadly battle of wits against a foe who is bent on destroying the rest of the child’s family. In a sprint against time, the team must stop the killer . . . before another family member is lost.

Joy Zeigler and her husband John live near Houston, Texas. She has practiced many vocations—electrical engineer, director of a local non-profit, personal trainer, business owner, Math teacher at a community college—all the while honing her writing craft.

Joy considers faith and family to be most significant in shaping her life and is inspired by the encouragement of her husband and other good friends. When not writing, Joy enjoys time with family and friends, Pilates, and amazing experiences with her husband, like rappelling down waterfalls and searching the banks of Houston bayous for ideal places to leave dead bodies (for her writing, of course).

Joy currently seeks representation for her first novel, The Rich Get Dead, which is completed and has placed as a finalist in the Writers’ League of Texas manuscript contest.
